Job summary

Buffalo Wild Wings is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the restaurant team, oversee FOH and BOH operations, and partner with the General Manager on hiring and staff development.

The AGM will drive guest satisfaction, coaching and mentoring staff, ensuring safety compliance and cash controls, and implementing local marketing initiatives to grow sales and profits. This role requires 50-hour weeks and flexible scheduling for a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree a plus.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant.
• Ability to work a 50-hour week and flexible hours.
• Excellent written, verbal, math and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant FOH and BOH; assist the General Manager in leading the restaurant management team.
• Instruct, train, coach and develop the restaurant team to recognize and reward achievement.
• Assist the General Manager with recruitment and hiring of hourly employees.
• Ensure appropriate staffing to maximize customer service and sales.
• Work to maximize sales and profits within the restaurant.
• Responsible for cash controls and enforcement of company policies.
• Prepare and execute local store marketing, merchandising, and promotional efforts to increase sales.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are followed within the restaurant.
• Resolve customer complaints; train team to resolve restaurant issues.
• Maintain knowledge of labor laws, health codes, sanitary requirements.
• Demonstrate leadership with independence and discretion.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities/Qualifications

Manage restaurant FOH and BOH – Assist the General Manager in leading the restaurant management team.

Assists the General Manager with the overall recruiting and hiring of hourly employees.

Ensures the appropriate staffing of restaurant team to maximize customer service and sales efforts.

Works to maximizes sales and profits within the restaurant.

Responsible for all cash controls and enforcement of Company policies.

In conjunction with the General Manager, prepares and executes local store marketing, merchandising, sales and promotional efforts to increase sales volume and guest traffic.

Assures that all safety and security procedures are followed within the restaurant.

Resolves customer complaints; trains team in resolving restaurant issues.

Has general knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation.

High school or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree a plus.

Leadership skills - ability to supervise, train and motivate restaurant personnel.

2-3 yrs. supervisory or management experience from a restaurant: familiar with FOH and HOH/Kitchen management.

Ability to work with a high degree of independence and discretion.

Ability to work a 50-hour work week.

Ability to work flexible hours.
