Job summary

Taco Bell in United States is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, support the Restaurant General Manager, and coach the team to deliver memorable customer experiences.

You will oversee shifts in the GM’s absence, help manage P&L, recruit and train staff, and ensure health and safety standards. Expect a 50-hour work week with 40 regular hours and 10 overtime hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant/retail management experience.
• Assist with P&L management by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, and reviewing financial reports.
• Ensure all employees receive proper training and resources.
• Champion Taco Bell's culture and values, promoting equity and belonging in the restaurant.
• Lead efforts in recognition, collaboration, and motivation.
• Identify and recruit exceptional talent, supporting the GM in hiring.
• Possess strong communication skills for performance appraisals, discipline, and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Team Members' adherence to Shift Excellence, maintain high food safety standards, and uphold Core excellence. Take charge of restaurant operations in the GM's absence.
• Collaborate with the GM in assessing team performance, providing ongoing feedback, addressing employee relations issues or elevating to the GM.
• Assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Team Members, while driving equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Assist with Profit & Loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management.
• Review financial reports and take actions to optimize performance.
• Support the GM in facility maintenance and health/safety standards.

The Day-to-Day:

• Act like an owner by assisting with Profit & Loss management, including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management.
• Review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance.
• Support the GM in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed.

The range for this role is $52,000-65,000/year. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and experience.
