Position Overview

Assistant General Manager to the General Manager, overseeing day‑to‑day hotel operations, maintaining revenue, cost and quality standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Generate projected revenue through proper supervision of assigned departments.
• Participate in developing short‑term and long‑term financial and operational plans.
• Remain current on business trends and local activities.
• Meet assigned departmental budgets and monitor financial statements.
• Establish and maintain community involvement at appropriate levels.
• Ensure proper handling of guest complaints.
• Assist in developing new programs to increase guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures related to the position.
• Ensure cross‑selling of other Shamin Hotels by hotel staff.
• Teach, mentor, and direct hotel staff.
• Comfortable with high visibility and leadership role within the hotel and community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field.
• 1‑2 years of hotel experience preferred.
• Strong financial knowledge and ability to work with and understand financial data.
• Basic mathematical skills including reading, writing, and basic math.
• Computer skills and familiarity with brand systems.
