Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality Management is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the SpringHill Suites Ontario Airport in Ontario, CA to lead daily hotel operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will coach and develop team members, oversee scheduling and training, manage finances, and ensure compliance with brand standards while supporting the General Manager in achieving revenue and service goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of hotel leadership experience in a Select Service or Extended Stay property.
• Valid Driver's License is Required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and ordering.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the hotel to ensure outstanding guest service and operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members while promoting a positive work environment.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing hotel associates, including brand and safety training.
• Help oversee scheduling, inventory, ordering, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
• Conduct or assist with team meetings and ongoing staff communication.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives and assist with group and travel agent requests.
• Perform General Manager duties in the GM's absence.
• Assist in all hotel departments as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel while helping deliver exceptional guest experiences, leading team members, and ensuring operational excellence.
