Bridgetown Roti in Los Angeles, CA seeks an Assistant General Manager to act as the operational backbone of the shop. You’ll work with the General Manager to run daily service, manage inventory and ordering, and implement systems that keep the team efficient and consistent.

Ideal candidates are organized, hands-on with food-service operations, and comfortable coaching staff. This role emphasizes structure, clear communication, and a commitment to quality, safety, and guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of managerial experience in food service.
• Hands-on inventory management and ordering experience.
• Availability to work 25–30 hours per week.

• Excellent communication with team and guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Job Summary

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll be the operational backbone of the shop. You’ll work alongside the General Manager to run day‑to‑day service, keep our inventory and ordering airtight, and most importantly, enforce the structure that lets our team do their best work. This role is for someone who sees a messy process and can’t rest until there’s a system for it.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and floor supervision
• Own inventory management end to end: counts, par levels, ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships
• Build and document systems, checklists, and processes that make the shop run smoother every week
• Support, coach, and communicate clearly with team members across front and back of house
• Serve as a key communication link between staff, management, and guests
• Help maintain food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–3 years of managerial experience, ideally in a restaurant or food service setting
• Hands‑on experience with inventory management and ordering
• Availability to work 25–30 hours per week
• A genuine love of structure. Someone who thrives on creating and improving systems, not just following them
• Excellent communication skills, both with the team and with guests
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
