Job summary

Taco Bell franchisee is seeking a General Manager in New Jersey to oversee daily operations, staffing, and financial controls, ensuring health and safety standards and a family-friendly environment.

You will lead shifts, coach staff, manage schedules and hiring, and maintain quality food service while upholding Taco Bell standards and franchisee policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; must meet state and federal requirements.
• Flexibility to work 45–50 hours per week, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license in good standing and access to private transport.
• Consent to background screening including criminal, driving and drug tests.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage your own team in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem solving, decision making, results orientation and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing restaurant’s daily operations.
• Maintain day-to-day financial controls.
• Create and manage staff schedules.
• Interview, hire, train and write-up staff.
• Oversee coaching, counseling and developing staff and managing team relations.
• Exercise proper food handling, equipment maintenance and facility management.
• Ensure health and safety inspections and standards are met.
• Set the tone for the fun, family environment in the restaurant.

You support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by managing great work shifts and completing administrative duties. In the absence of the RGM, you provide the leadership necessary to make sure the restaurant consistently operates to Taco Bell standards. Key responsibilities include seeing that Team Members, Team Member Trainers and Shift Leads complete all assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner. You also assist the RGM with facility maintenance, finding, hiring and developing great Team Members and Shift Leads and making sure health and safety standards are met.
