Job summary

Public Health Solutions is seeking an Assistant General Counsel – Privacy to provide central guidance on privacy and data security, draft and negotiate data-privacy contracts, and support policy development for a range of DOHMH and agency initiatives.

The role requires a JD with bar admission, strong privacy/contract law experience, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment. Hybrid work arrangements and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) with bar admission in good standing.
• At least two years of full-time legal experience.
• Experience in privacy and contract law.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Familiarity with NIST Privacy Framework and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate privacy and security agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Assist in developing policies for data privacy and security.
• Support investigations of security incidents and notifications to affected individuals.
• Provide legal counsel to IT on data security and cybersecurity.
