Forward Financing, a Boston-based fintech, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel – Corporate, Commercial & Structured Finance to lead capital markets and financing strategy nationwide.

You will oversee debt facilities, forward flow agreements, securitizations, and related corporate governance, building scalable legal processes and mentoring a small team of attorneys while partnering with executives to drive innovative financing products and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership.
• 10+ years of relevant legal practice, with fintech/finance experience.
• Strong track record in structured finance transactions and debt facilities.
• Solid understanding of commercial lending frameworks and revenue‑based financing.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior to mid‑level attorneys.
• Business‑oriented legal advice under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, negotiate, and close complex debt facilities and securitizations.
• Oversee corporate governance and board/financing documentation.
• Manage external counsel and scale legal processes as the team grows.
• Partner with executives to design innovative financing products and ensure regulatory compliance.
