Job summary

Unite America seeks a full-time Assistant General Counsel (AGC) to join its Legal & Compliance team in Denver, CO. The AGC will work with the General Counsel and outside counsel to ensure regulatory compliance across campaign finance and nonprofit activities, drafting policies, and staff training.

The role involves negotiating contracts, reviewing grant agreements, and enhancing Unite America’s compliance program. JD required; relocation stipend available for new hires.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to a U.S. state bar or on track to sit for the bar exam.
• Strong legal and regulatory research skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in state campaign finance and lobbying law registration thresholds and reporting.
• Review and approve public communications and campaign finance reporting.
• Identify risks and coordinate with outside counsel to mitigate them.
• Manage relationships with political compliance vendors.
