Job summary

Empire Search Partners, a global financial services company, seeks an Assistant General Counsel in New York to provide legal support for a portfolio of bilateral commercial real estate lending transactions. The role reports to the General Counsel and may include supervising support staff within the Legal Department.

Qualifications

• Experience with bilateral commercial real estate lending transactions preferred.
• Strong ability to advise business teams throughout the lifecycle of loans from origination through closing, servicing and workout.

The selected candidate will provide legal support for a portfolio of bilateral commercial real estate lending transactions, advising business teams throughout the lifecycle of mortgage and construction loans from origination through closing, servicing, and workout.

The Assistant General Counsel is responsible for assisting the General Counsel and the other attorneys in the Legal Department in handling the overall activities of the Legal Department, including supervising support staff. Base annual salary is expected to start at $230,000 to $270,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
