Real Estate Finance Associate / Counsel | New York City | $300,000 - $355,000 salary | 6+ Years

This is an exciting opportunity for an associate or counsel level lawyer to join a nationally recognized Real Estate practice group in the New York City office.

The firm are looking to recruit an individual with a solid background in real estate finance and lender representation. Ideal candidates will have previous law firm experience, and at least 6 years of experience in commercial mortgage finance including:

• Experience representing lenders in the origination, purchase, sale, securitization, refinancing and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans
• Experience advising lenders in complex financing arrangements with multiple layers of debt; negotiating co-lender arrangements and intercreditor agreements

The team work seamlessly across office lines, whilst this role is based in New York City, the team work closely with other offices across the US.

The Candidate

• Commercial Real Estate Associate / Counsel with between 6 years experience
• Experience representing lenders on a variety of real estate finance matters
• Ability to manage an independent caseload whilst supporting junior members of the team
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
• Possess a J.D. from an accredited law school as well as admitted to practice in New York
• Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
