Connect Search, LLC is partnering with a long-standing Chicago real estate investment manager to hire into a senior fund accounting team. The role will own accounting, reporting, and audit for multiple funds and entities from close to sign-off, handling acquisitions, financing, treasury, investor reporting, and dispositions.

Positions available at Senior Fund Accountant or Assistant Fund Controller level, depending on experience.

Qualificações

• 3+ years for Senior; 4+ years for Assistant Fund Controller
• Public accounting audit, fund administration, or PE/RE fund accounting
• Multi-entity close and capital activity experience, done or audited
• Strong Excel (lookups, pivots); comfortable with fund accounting systems
• Clear communicator who brings a recommendation with the problem

Responsabilidades

• Quarterly and year-end close, fund financial statements, and footnotes for your funds
• Balance sheet recs and GL across multi-entity fund structures
• JV partner reporting: consolidation, opening entries, gain or loss on investment
• Daily cash recs, weekly payables, and loan draws, plus tracking loan principal and interest
• Capital call and distribution calcs and notices, including pref, waterfall, and fees
• The annual audit: PBC list, lead schedules, and auditor questions
• Reading LPAs, loan docs, and org charts to set up the accounting
• Process and AI projects that make the team faster

A long-standing Chicago real estate investment manager is adding to a lean, senior fund accounting team. The firm runs equity and credit strategies across several property types for institutional and private investors.

This seat owns the accounting, reporting, and audit for a set of funds and entities, from close through audit sign-off. You will see the full deal cycle (acquisitions, financing, treasury, investor reporting, dispositions), not one narrow task. They are hiring at either the Senior Fund Accountant or Assistant Fund Controller level, depending on experience.

What you will own

• Quarterly and year-end close, fund financial statements, and footnotes for your funds

Details

• Hybrid: in office Monday to Thursday downtown, remote Friday


• Travel: none


• Range: $95K to $110K base for Senior, up to $130K base for Assistant Fund Controller, plus bonus
