Job description

A well-regarded, long-established Chicago-based PE firm with $30B+ AUM is looking for a professional to step into a leadership role within its Finance team. This is a high-visibility position with meaningful scope, a competitive compensation package of $150k-$200k base plus a significant bonus, and a flexible 4-day hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review quarterly financial statements and NAV closes across a portfolio of private funds, including complex and illiquid asset valuations, fee calculations, and expense allocations.
• Serve as the key liaison to external auditors throughout the year, leading on complex transactions, technical accounting conclusions, and annual audit requirements.
• Supervise and develop a team of fund associates responsible for portfolio transaction processing, accounting records, and day-to-day reporting.
• Oversee capital call, distribution, and treasury processes in collaboration with the Fund Controller, and support investor inquiries on complex or technical matters.
• Drive process improvement, data infrastructure enhancements, and cross-functional finance initiatives across the broader team

Qualifications

• 6-9 years in Big 4 audit or fund accounting
• Strong U.S. GAAP and investment company accounting knowledge
• CPA preferred; degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Comfortable with complex fund structures, LP vehicles, and partnership agreements
