Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting for a diversified portfolio of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, and Real Estate funds. The role involves managing NAV calculations, investor reporting, and close processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor a team of fund accounting professionals and collaborate with clients, auditors, and tax advisors, driving process improvements and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of fund accounting experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Real Estate, or fund administrator.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring team members.
• Strong understanding of investment fund structures, capital activity, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of investment funds.
• Oversee quarterly and annual close processes, including NAV calculations and financial statements.
• Review capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest allocations, and waterfall calculations.
• Prepare and review investor reporting and other client deliverables.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fund accounting professionals.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiencies.
• Assist with special projects and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of fund accounting experience within Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Real Estate, or a fund administrator.
• Previous experience reviewing work and leading or mentoring team members.
• Strong understanding of investment fund structures, capital activity, and financial reporting.
• CPA designation is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
