We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at Spruce Peak. The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Front Office for the Lodge at Spruce Peak. This includes ensuring that we are providing the highest levels of guest service and ensuring that standards are in place for all areas of Front Desk, Concierge, Telecommunications, including the Bell Valet team in the absence of a Guest Services Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Support daily Front Office operations and ensure seamless functioning in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
· Promote effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration through regular face-to-face interaction.
· Inspire creativity, recognize contributions, and encourage innovation among team members.
· Lead daily pre-shift meetings to align high-impact guest service teams and ensure smooth guest experiences.
· Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to prepare rooms for check-in and resolve guest-related maintenance issues efficiently.
· Maintain expert knowledge of hotel services, room types, rates, promotions, occupancy, and group activities to accurately address guest inquiries.
· Manage Front Office as a profitable unit and implement upselling strategies to maximize room revenue.
· Ensure end-of-shift procedures and checklists are completed accurately by Front Desk and Guest Services staff.
· Safeguard guest confidentiality and uphold data protection protocols.
· Hospitality or Guest service background is required.
· Hospitality Management Degree or Diploma is an asset.
· Minimum 2 years supervisory or management background required or the combination of related education and experience.
· Strong Managerial skills with a record of positive associate relations, team leadership abilities and a proven guest service record.
· Results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work under pressure.
· Working Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Property Manager (will train Property Manager if not knowledgeable).
· Knowledge of SMS, ADP, and Hyatt Rewards is a plus
· Must be able to:
o Carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing and or pulling approximately 100 pounds
o Frequently stand and move about the facility
o Frequently handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility
o Frequently bend, stoop, and kneel
