Opportunity: Assistant Front Office Manager

Assist in overseeing front office operations, including supervising front office personnel, in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
  2. Oversee all front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager.
  3. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  4. Assist in monitoring front office financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting controls and procedures.
  5. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring budgets and forecasts on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  6. Review, approve, and order capital budget items as needed.
  7. Review guest correspondence and incident logs; direct staff accordingly.
  8. Ensure front office supplies, gift shop, and market inventory are fully stocked and maintained.
  9. Coordinate with the Sales office to input and maintain group resumes and rooming lists.
  10. Monitor guest room occupancy to optimize use and minimize overbooking.
  11. Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  12. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of hospitality-related experience, including front desk operations.
Work Environment and Context
  • Work schedule varies; may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
