Job Summary: The Assistant Front Office Manager assists the Front Office Manager with daily operations, supervises Guest Services, Concierge, and Uniformed Services personnel, handles guest complaints, and represents management in the absence of the Guest Services Manager.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience at a Full Service Marriott Hotel.
  • A 4-year college degree and related experience.
  • Supervisory experience and proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Valid driver’s license from the applicable state.
Physical Requirements:
  • Long hours sometimes required.
  • Light work involving lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand throughout the shift.
Mental Requirements:
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and multitask.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work with financial data.
Duties & Functions
Essential:
  • Provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service to guests and employees.
  • Maintain attendance, appearance, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Develop employee morale and train Front Office staff.
  • Operate Front Office systems, monitor the PBX console, and manage guest room status.
  • Oversee check-ins, check-outs, and daily operations, including VIP and special requests.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments.
  • Manage cash handling, messaging, and documentation accurately.
Marginal:
  • Monitor VIP guests and special requests.
  • Review logs, employee attendance, and participate in inspections.
  • Attend training and perform other duties as assigned.
