Job Duties Include

Administrative Support

• Scheduling Procedures: Surgeries, ultrasounds, and including appointments.
• Correspondence: Handle incoming and outgoing communication, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
• Documentation: Maintain and organize patient records, medical histories, and other essential documents.
• Billing: Assist with invoicing, processing payments, and managing financial records.

Client Interaction

• Client Communication: Communicate with clients about appointments, procedures, and follow‑up care.
• Education: Provide pet care, nutrition, and preventive measures information.

Medical Assistance

• Preparation: Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas for procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and supplies are available.
• Support During Procedures: Assist the veterinarian during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.

Animal Care

• Basic Care: Provide primary care for animals.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Veterinary experience: 1 year or more.
• Previous Client service experience: 1 year or more.

About the Hospital

We are a newly constructed and privately owned small animal clinic. Our 2800‑square‑foot facility has four exam rooms, a large treatment area, a dental suite, and a surgery suite. We have two full‑time doctors and on‑call specialists in internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery.
