About Us

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, dependable, enthusiastic professional to join our highly qualified team as a full‑time veterinary assistant, looking to expand and develop your career!

Our AAHA accredited hospital offers high‑quality veterinary services in a modern facility, with in‑house diagnostics, lab, pharmacy, digital X‑ray, laser, surgery, acupuncture and much more. The practice is well established with a dedicated clientele and focuses on quality, preventive medicine and comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care, in‑house laboratory, pain management services, 24‑hour nursing care and boarding options for our feline friends.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care and treatment
  • Monitor hospitalized pets and aid in caring for animals after surgery
  • Maintain inventory and stocking
  • Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims
  • Aide with routine diagnostic tests (vital signs, radiographs, bloodwork, sample collection)
  • Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment
  • Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas
  • Administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision
  • Feed and bathe animals
  • Answer phones and provide customer service
  • Help clients with their pets
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education, and/or experience
  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary appointment experience performing above duties; preferred
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, clean, and work in constant motion
  • Comfortable working with sick animals, hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors
  • Hourly wage strongly dependent on experience
Compensation and Benefits
