Job summary

The Smithsonian Institution seeks an Assistant Fleet Manager to oversee four major transportation programs: Mobile Asset Repair, Small Boat, Fuel, and Mobile Asset Disposal. You will provide leadership for planning, operation, and maintenance of the Smithsonian's fleet.

The role includes supervisory authority over programs, development of maintenance controls, regulatory compliance with maritime laws, guiding technicians and staff, and evaluating performance against productivity and quality

• Evaluate performance against established productivity and quality standards, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Job description

The Assistant Fleet Manager is responsible for performing a variety of duties with primary oversight responsibility of four major transportation programs: Mobile Asset Repair Program, Small Boat Program, Fuel Program and the Mobile Asset Disposal Program.
