Mobile Modular Management Corporation - A Division of McGrath seeks an Assistant Field Service Tech (Finance) to support experienced technicians on customer sites installing and servicing modular buildings. You will train customers on maintenance and perform trial runs to verify performance against specifications, contributing to top-notch service outcomes.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong teamwork across field operations, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs and construction in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical in the field alongside a service technician.
• Maintain and service HVAC systems with a qualified technician.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity at customer sites.
• Maintain positive customer interactions and protect company reputation.

"A Day in the Life"

As a Service Assistant some of your duties include going to customer sites to assist experienced service technicians in installing and repairing modular buildings and training customers on how to properly maintain the buildings. You will perform trial runs of any machinery (HVAC systems) to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications. Deliver exceptional customer experiences.

"What You'll Do"

• Performs troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical in the field; generally in the company of a service technician
• Alongside a qualified service technician, performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
• Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locations
• Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company's reputation is improved with every customer contact
• Perform other duties as assigned

"Must Haves"

• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company's safety policies and procedures
• Deliver a high quality output consistent with the Company's construction standards
• Able to follow spoken and written instructions
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Ability to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines
• Prior experience in construction or related work required
• Prior experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other specialties preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate with Customer's regarding work status and service concerns; fluency in spoken Spanish is a plus

Special Considerations:

• Local travel daily and occasional overnight stays
• May be required to travel extended distances to customer sites
• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
