Job summary

Mobile Modular Management Corporation - A Division of McGrath is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain modular equipment at customer sites and branches. You will troubleshoot and repair systems, perform routine maintenance, and train customer staff on equipment care.

Travel will be required to various locations with safety and quality as top priorities. The role emphasizes problem solving across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing domains, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional

Qualifications

• Must have prior construction or related work experience.
• Basic electrical, plumbing and flooring skills; HVAC aptitude considered a plus.
• Ability to communicate with customers about work status and service needs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Ensure safety, quality and productivity at customer sites.
• Interface with customers to uphold the company’s reputation.
• Maintain logs for equipment and vehicles; report exceptions.
• Operate company vehicle and read blueprints and floor plans.
• Work outdoors in variable weather and use manual/power tools as required.

Service Technician - M-F Dayshift (Finance)

The specific pay rate and level, if applicable, will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience and location.

A Day In the Life

As a Field Service Technician you will maintain modular equipment in the field at customer sites and at the branch. You will perform problem solving maintenance for but not limited to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. You will also perform routine maintenance, cleaning and construction in the field of modular buildings. Update and record information on company assets and systems. Perform routine evaluations of work to be performed. Safely operate Company provided vehicle (< 10,000lbs GVW) to travel to various locations and service modular and related equipment. Duties include installing and repairing equipment, and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery. Perform trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs and construction in areas of but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC, roofing and electrical


• Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of themselves at all customer locations


• Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company's reputation is improved with every customer contact


• Maintain inspection log(s) for equipment/vehicle and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment is maintained to Company and safety standards


• Safely perform all tasks and understand Company's safety policies and procedures


• Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company's construction standards


• Operate Company vehicle


• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures and company specific work orders, work instructions and floor plans provided


• Work outside in variable weather conditions


• Use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines


• Performs other duties as assigned

Must Haves

• Prior experience in construction or related work required; basic electrical, plumbing and flooring with an emphasis to learn HVAC


• Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status and service concerns


• Valid driver's license

Nice to Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus


• HVAC training and experience combined with an EPA certification preferred

Special Considerations

• Local daily travel and occasional overnight stays


• May be required to drive extended distances to customer sites


• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
