Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4–10 years related experience required.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Utilize software to mix and route feed as needed.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks including preventative maintenance.
• Prioritize and accomplish tasks efficiently.
• Provide production updates at conclusion of each shift.
• Work with transportation department to improve efficiency.
• Direct and monitor preventative maintenance program.
• Make recommendations on replacement, additions, or deletions of facilities and equipment when needed and/or economically justified.
• Ensure efficient operation of mill equipment to maximize production while meeting quality requirements.
• Maintain equipment in safe operating condition.
• Maintain a clean and orderly facility.
• Inventory and Product Handling.
• Coordinate grain sampling and receiving activities (rail and truck).
• Quality Control Responsibilities.
• Complete manufacturing reports for designated shift.
• Receive & process incoming ingredients.
• Other duties as assigned.
