Qualifications

  • Meet coaching certification standards as set forth by the South Kitsap School District and the WIAA.
  • Valid Washington driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Need to attend all practices as designated by the head coach.
  • Supervise locker room – home and away.
  • Available for home and away contests; some Saturday commitments.
  • Be available to drive team vans.

JOB SUMMARY:

This coaching position is in the athletic department at South Kitsap High School, home of the Wolves. SKHS is afour year comprehensive program that operates on asemester system. The mission of SKHS reflects the goals of the school improvement plan that focus on promoting intellectual growth in students through meaningful education enhanced by positive interpersonal relationships among staff, students, parents, and the community; and the development of a secure, caring, supportive, safe, and trusting environment in which students become responsible, contributing members of a changing society. BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of coaching all phases of the sport.
  • Assist in administration of home contests.
  • Need to attend all practices as designated by the head coach.
  • Supervise locker room – home and away.
  • Available for home and away contests. This may include some Saturday commitments.
  • Be available to drive team vans.
  • Demand strong team discipline and sportsmanship.
  • Follow all coaching duties listed in the South Kitsap High School, Narrows League, and WIAA handbooks.
  • Reports to the South Kitsap High School Athletic Director and School Principal.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current certificated employee of the South Kitsap School District.
  • Previous participation in the sport.
  • Previous coaching experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid and up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification PRIORto beginning coaching experience.
  • Meet coaching certification standards as set forth by the South Kitsap School District and the WIAA.
  • Valid Washington driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Fingerprints prior to beginning coaching experience at the expense of employee (Washington State Patrol and FBI Background Clearance) .

SEASON:

Spring 2027

SALARY:

As per negotiated contract and verified Fastpitch coaching experience from other school districts.
