Job summary

South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, WA is seeking an Assistant Fastpitch Coach. This is a stipend, part-time position with no release time, requiring attendance at practices and both home and away contests.

The coach will support the athletic department in developing a competitive, inclusive program and report to the Athletic Director. Starting immediately, duties include coaching all phases of the sport, assisting in contests, supervising facilities, and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Valid and up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification prior to beginning coaching.
• Meet coaching certification standards as set forth by the South Kitsap School District and the WIAA.
• Valid Washington driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Capable of coaching all phases of the sport.
• Assist in administration of home contests.
• Need to attend all practices as designated by the head coach.
• Supervise locker room – home and away.
• Available for home and away contests; some Saturday commitments.
• Be available to drive team vans.
• Demand strong team discipline and sportsmanship.
• Follow all coaching duties listed in the South Kitsap High School, Narrows League, and WIAA handbooks.
