Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Assistant Facility Security Officer to support Industrial Security operations for collateral programs at our Largo and St. Petersburg, Florida locations.

This role is essential to ensuring compliance with security requirements and supporting multiple programs. You will administer the facility Industrial Security program, supervise security personnel, interpret requirements (NISPOM, ISLs, ICDs, DD254s) and develop security documentation.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8 years of experience, or an advanced degree and minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Experience conducting security briefings, training, indoctrinations, debriefings, and program-specific security briefings.
• U.S. citizenship is required for a security clearance.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Support the Facility Security Officer in administration and continuous improvement of the facility Industrial Security program.
• Supervise assigned Security personnel and provide coaching and development.
• Prepare and issue security documentation and manage COMSEC and DD254s.
• Support inspections, reviews, and government/customer visits; resolve complex security issues.
