Job summary

Moog's Military Aircraft Group is seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support the Facility Security Officer and ensure compliance with NISPOM and related regulations for classified contracts. This onsite role is located at East Aurora/Buffalo, NY, with travel to site locations as needed.

The candidate will hold a TS clearance (or be able to obtain it), possess a relevant bachelor's degree, and have industrial security experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant security experience.
• Current Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Experience interpreting NISPOM and government regulations.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel to site locations (20%).

Job Title : Assistant Facility Security Officer

Reporting To: FSO

Work Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Moog's Military Aircraft Group is in search of an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO).

As an AFSO , you will be working under the direction of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations for classified contracts in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other regulatory directives.

This role offers a first shift on-site schedule at our East Aurora, NY location. Relocation Assistance will be considered for qualified candidates.

As an Assistant Facility Security Officer, you will:

• Assist the FSO in administering the company's National Industrial Security Program and maintain compliance with government and customer security requirements.
• Draft SOPs, Insider Threat Program Plan and related operating procedures for FSO review and approval.
• Conduct annual self-inspections for FSO review and approval.
• Participate in government audits.
• Manage incident reporting and assist in investigations involving security incidents

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant industrial security experience.
• Current Top Secret (TS) security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• Ability and willingness to participate in continuing education opportunities.
• Ability and willingness to travel to site locations
• Experience interpreting and applying NISPOM and other government regulations.
• Proficiency using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, government databases including, but not limited to, DISS, NISS and SWFT.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$125,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
