This position is responsible for supporting the Facility Security Officer with the successful execution and oversight of the security program, mission, and staff.

As the AFSO, this position will require relevant experience supporting industrial security programs. The AFSO will have a strong working knowledge of all National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and DoD 5205.07 Manual compliance.

The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines. The successful candidate must be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.

Hexcel is currently seeking an Assistant Facilities Security Officer for our Amesbury, MA, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

• Maintain all security documentation in accordance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements
• Assist in the preparation of necessary paperwork and support DCSA investigations, audits, and inquiries
• Maintain positive relationships with DCSA Industrial Security and other government agency representatives
• Ensure compliance with federal security requirements (e.g., NISPOM) and contract-specific security requirements
• Provide guidance and instruction to employees on completing security forms and documents
• Review, process, and verify facility and personnel security clearances and requests
• Prepare access and visit authorization requests
• Administer security awareness and training programs
• Conduct employee briefings and debriefings
• Review issued DD254s and prepare DD254s for subcontractors
• Develop and revise program-level security plans, procedures, and instructions
• Provide classification guidance, develop security education, conduct security briefings, lead security self-inspections, and investigate security incidents
• Coordinate and respond to off-hour building alarms
• Serve as the ACPSO (Alternate Contractor Program Security Officer) for multiple programs
• Assist in all aspects of security including personnel, physical, technical, and classification management as per DoD policies
• Complete program Access Requests (PAR)
• Support classified meetings
• Provide program-specific security support, education, and training

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Other education, relevant experience, and demonstrated abilities may be substituted)
• 2+ years of relevant industrial security experience
• Facility Security Officer Certification through CDSE (preferred)
• SAP Mid-Level Security Management Certification (preferred)
• Proven experience supporting DoD programs and SAP government communities
• Current Secret security clearance within the last 6 years
• Knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, DoD 5205.07 Manuals, and federal industrial security requirements
• Proficient in DISS, e-QIP, NBIS, and NISS systems
• Strong security process knowledge
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Ability to operate independently and in teams
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint
• Experience with SAP security duties
