Job summary

Vonachen Group is seeking an Assistant Facility Manager in Mt. Vernon, IL to oversee all assigned duties per facility scope of work, ensure high customer satisfaction, and maintain safe, efficient operations on first shift.

The role involves coordinating with clients and managers, maintaining inventories, supervising staff, and enforcing OSHA safety guidelines. The position offers full benefits, daily pay option, and advancement from within.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Must be able to work with little supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with administrative tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all assigned duties/task per facility scope of work
• Encourage, redirect, correct, and document employee performance as appropriate
• Train employees into specialized areas and periodic assignments; document training
• Participate in all OSHA, Company, Customer and Site-Specific Safety Guidelines and Processes
• Prepare Confined Space Permits; initiate and confirm Lock-Out-Tag-Out of equipment
• Track all work and provide documentation as required; prepare timekeeping and EOS reports
• Conduct Quality Assurance audit and ensure corrective measures are implemented for all deficiencies
• Stock and maintain janitor and industrial closets, supply rooms; facilitate supply orders
• Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report any safety risks or hazards
• Monitor building security, facilitate any site-specific safety protocol
• Conduct hiring interviews as needed
• Monitor inventory and facilitate repairs to all assigned equipment and required tools.
• Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all assigned motorized equipment

Job Skills / Requirements

The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high-quality service levels, maintaining proper supply levels, adhering to company policies, and providing a safe working environment. This person acts as a liaison between clients and managers when the manager is not present.

Job requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license and clean MVR


• Must have reliable transportation


• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high-level of performance

• Willingness to attend training related to industry practices and procedures
