CoCo Key Hotel & Water Resort Orlando is seeking an energetic and hands-on Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, quick-service locations, and resort amenities.The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will assist in leading the Food & Beverage team, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining operational standards, controlling costs, and supporting a positive and productive work environment. This position is highly visible and requires a strong hospitality mindset, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced resort environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the daily operation and supervision of all assigned Food & Beverage outlets.Lead, coach, and motivate Food & Beverage team members to deliver exceptional guest service.Ensure outlets are properly staffed and operationally prepared for daily business.Monitor service standards, food quality, cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest experience.Assist with scheduling, staffing levels, breaks, and shift assignments based on business needs.Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, events, and operational updates.Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and recognition as appropriate.Assist with training and onboarding of new Food & Beverage employees.Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, ServSafe standards, and applicable food and beverage regulations.Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, storage, and proper rotation of food, beverages, and supplies.Help control food, beverage, labor, and operating costs while maintaining quality and service standards.Review cash handling, credit card transactions, discounts, voids, comps, and other financial controls.Assist with daily opening and closing procedures and ensure proper completion of required checklists and documentation.Address guest concerns promptly and professionally and take appropriate action to resolve service issues.Work closely with other departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Waterpark Operations, Sales, and Events, to support overall resort operations.Assist with banquet and special event food and beverage operations as needed.Ensure all outlets maintain appropriate cleanliness, organization, appearance, and sanitation standards.Monitor equipment and facility conditions and communicate maintenance needs promptly.Support implementation of menus, promotions, special events, and other Food & Beverage initiatives.Assist management with reviewing sales, labor, guest feedback, and other operational performance indicators.Maintain a visible management presence throughout assigned outlets and shifts.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.Hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment.Make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment.Remain calm and professional when handling guest or employee concerns.Demonstrate flexibility with changing business needs, schedules, and priorities.Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.Consistently model company standards for professionalism, attendance, appearance, and guest service.Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, banquet, or high-volume Food & Beverage environment.2+ years of Food & Beverage or hospitality experience preferred.Strong knowledge of restaurant and food service operations.Previous experience leading and developing a team.Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and communication skills.Basic understanding of labor, inventory, and cost-control practices.ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.TIPS or responsible alcohol service certification preferred where applicable.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events.
