Lowcountry Hotels in Charleston, SC is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the Executive Housekeeper in leading the housekeeping department for a 255-room hotel with 15,000 sq ft of meeting space. The role focuses on maintaining exceptional cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is multilingual (Spanish/English) with strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in a full-service hotel environment preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading a housekeeping team strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, room inspections, cleanliness standards, and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department.
• Coordinate and monitor daily room cleaning, public area cleaning, laundry, and related housekeeping functions.
• Ensure guest rooms, corridors, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas are maintained to established hotel standards.
• Monitor room status and housekeeping productivity to support timely room availability and efficient hotel operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and quality standards are consistently met.
• Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken promptly.
• Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance regarding guest room and public area maintenance issues.
• Assist with inventory control, ordering, storage, and proper use of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Help maintain compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, sanitation requirements, and housekeeping procedures.
