Job summary

Bellagio, a MGM Resorts International luxury resort in Las Vegas, seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations, inspire teams, and uphold world-class standards of cleanliness and guest experience.

In this leadership role you will manage staffing, budgets, training, and performance, conduct daily inspections, mentor managers, and ensure compliance with policies and contracts while delivering WOW guest memories.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior relevant experience in Housekeeping or EVS.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred.
• Experience leading union team members in a collective bargaining environment preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, bilingual highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring positive resolution.
• Manage departmental performance, budgets, staffing levels, and accountability processes to meet short- and long-term objectives.
• Lead all Housekeeping HR functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning and compliance.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers for performance and advancement.
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure quality and sanitation standards.
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed per policies and timelines.
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Lead all Housekeeping Human Resources functions, including hiring, training, coaching, recognition, performance management, discipline, succession planning, and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
• Mentor, coach, and develop Housekeeping Floor Managers to support performance and advancement opportunities
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure Housekeeping Floor Managers and Guest Room Attendants meet quality assurance and sanitation standards
• Partner with Scheduling Attendants to ensure bidding processes are completed in accordance with policies, procedures, and timelines
• Represent management in unemployment hearings, union grievances, arbitrations, and other meetings as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in Housekeeping or EVS
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a luxury resort environment preferred
• Experience leading union team members and working within a collective bargaining environment preferred
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, bilingual highly preferred
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
