Compensation: $21.00 - $30.25 / hour

Description

Position Overview:
Communiboost We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the planning and execution of a variety of events, ranging from corporate meetings and conferences to social gatherings and special occasions. You will work closely with the Event Coordinator and other team members to ensure each event runs smoothly and meets the expectations of our clients.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $30.25 hourly
Location: Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating events from inception to completion.
  • Research and communicate with potential venues and vendors to secure bookings.
  • Help develop event budgets and manage expenditures to ensure cost-effective planning.
  • Create and maintain event timelines, schedules, and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
  • Coordinate logistics related to event setup, including seating arrangements, catering services, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and promotions to drive attendance for events.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a professional setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain positive relationships.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event execution.
