Assistant Esports Coach: Temporary Part-time

Responsibilities

Position Goals

• The Assistant Esports Coach will help develop and grow the Esports program, providing support to student athletes.
• Deliver in‑game coaching, teaching, and instruction from the Esports arena at the William G. Rohrer Center in Cherry Hill.
• Assist coaching staff in implementing new in‑game strategies, managing practices, and coordinating intercollegiate matches.
• Travel with team to and from competitions as needed.
• Monitor academic progress of student athletes.
• Assist with pre‑game and post‑game setup and production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Esports Director.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and coaching ability in one or more of the following esports titles: Counter‑Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, League of Legends, Rocket League, or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
• Familiarity with streaming platforms (e.g., Twitch.tv, YouTube) and streaming software.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, leadership, attention to detail, initiative, flexibility, and sound judgment.
• Ability and commitment to instruct and motivate college student‑athletes.
• Experience working with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.

Compensation

Published Salary Range: $15.49 per hour
