Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for managing, supervising, and scheduling the workload for the Concrete Industries maintenance team and form-welding crew. Must adhere to the Company Safety Program and Policies, performing duties safely. Reliable attendance is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enforce OSHA safety policies and Concrete Industries’ safety standards.
  • Enforce PCI quality standards and the company’s Quality System Manual (QSM).
  • Assume the role of Equipment Superintendent in their absence.
  • Coordinate form changes with the Structural Management team to ensure timely execution.
  • Assist in scheduling service and repairs for all equipment with the maintenance department.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies needed by maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee workmanship on maintenance projects and form changeovers in the plant/yard.
  • Read and interpret plans, blueprints, site instructions, and drawings relevant to projects.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and emergency repairs are completed promptly, which may include evening and weekend work.
  • Review purchasing needs based on production schedules to meet inventory levels efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist in managing 10-15 nonexempt employees, including training, planning, work assignment, and conflict resolution, in accordance with company policies and laws.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Four to five years of related experience in maintenance, welding, or supervisory roles; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Preferred AWS welding certifications; ability to become AWS certified within three months.
Other Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience managing labor pools and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy.
  • Mechanical aptitude, understanding hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and manuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic math skills for production and inventory reporting.
  • Availability for on-call duties and extended hours as needed.
