The Engineering Operations Manager will collaborate directly with the Engineering Manager to deliver top-tier asset management with a focus on budget efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Operations Manager oversees all properties in their region and is involved in every aspect of maintaining these assets to maximize their value.

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team in the Philadelphia area.

*This role is onsite five days a week, Monday through Friday, at our Philadelphia office.*

The Engineering Operations Manager supports the implementation of ABM Engineering Services’ policies, standards, and safety programs across their assigned portfolio of buildings. They will also support and back up all Engineering Managers within their region with all accounts.

The role involves managing human resources and payroll functions within a portfolio, emphasizing liability and risk minimization. The Operations Manager will also handle client requests and manage client expectations for their accounts.

Under supervision, the Engineering Operations Manager is responsible for the overall service delivery to clients, including supporting safety plan implementation, operational standards, and site-specific policies and procedures.

Essential Functions (Under the Supervision of the Engineering Manager):

1. Manage daily operations of the local workforce, including mechanical operations in assigned accounts.
2. Facilitate accurate billing, payroll, and accounting using ABM systems.
3. Ensure consistent reporting and implementation of ABM standards.
4. Implement safety programs and conduct safety, procedural, and technical training for employees.
5. Supervise QA programs and conduct site audits and benchmarking.
6. Oversee scheduling of staff and assist in business development efforts, including marketing and industry events.
7. Review and support monthly reports from chief engineers.
8. Manage overtime expectations and provide leadership to employees.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of relevant experience; prior management experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-focused team environment.
• Strong customer service and employee relations skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce processes within engineering teams.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
