The Engineering Operations Manager will collaborate directly with the Engineering Manager to deliver top-tier asset management with a budget-conscious focus and a customer-centric approach. This role is responsible for all properties in their region, ensuring proper maintenance to maximize property value.

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team in the Philadelphia area.

*This role is onsite, five days a week, Monday through Friday, at our Philadelphia office.*

The Engineering Operations Manager supports the implementation of ABM Engineering Services’ policies, standards, and safety programs across their assigned portfolio. They will also support and back up all Engineering Managers within their region with various accounts.

The role involves managing human resources and payroll functions within a portfolio, focusing on minimizing liability and risk. The Operations Manager will also handle client requests and manage expectations for their accounts.

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Operations Manager oversees service delivery to clients, supports safety plan implementation, and ensures adherence to operational standards and policies.

Essential Functions include:

• Managing daily operations of the local workforce, including mechanical operations.
• Facilitating accurate billing, payroll, and accounting using ABM systems.
• Reporting and ensuring compliance with operational standards and safety programs.
• Training staff on safety, procedures, and technical skills.
• Supervising QA programs, auditing job sites, and employee processes.
• Scheduling staff and supporting new business development through marketing and industry events.
• Reviewing reports, managing overtime, and providing leadership to staff.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in the field; management experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team-focused, customer service environment.
• Strong customer relations and employee interaction skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce processes within engineering teams.

Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
