This role focuses on providing legal research, analysis, and recommendations that support regulatory enforcement and licensing decisions within the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. As a Assistant Enforcement Counsel 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Legal Guidance: Review regulatory reports and provide recommendations relating to enforcement matters
  • Application Review: Evaluate employee applications and recommend actions regarding permits and registrations under Board jurisdiction
  • Case Presentation: Present enforcement matters at public meetings before the Board
  • Document Drafting: Draft and analyze legal documents for assigned matters
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research within designated subject areas
  • Correspondence Response: Answer routine correspondence related to assigned cases
Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $71,280.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of law and certificate of admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

  • Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
