Job summary

Salem Montessori School is seeking a full-time Elementary Classroom Assistant to support students in a Montessori environment. You’ll collaborate with an experienced guide to foster independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to become certified), and a preference for candidates with prior experience with children. The role runs Monday through Friday with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Ages 18 or older.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience with children is preferred.
• We conduct random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Create a peaceful, engaging learning environment for elementary students.
• Support students alongside a Montessori Guide during daily activities.
• Assist with homework and after-school care.
• Work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.

SMS is currently hiring for a Full-time assistant to work with Elementary students!

Your Role as an Elementary Assistant

As our Elementary Classroom Assistant, you'll help create a peaceful, engaging learning environment where children develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Working alongside an experienced Montessori Guide, you'll support students in their daily discoveries while growing your own skills as an educator.
