Job summary

Salem Montessori in Salem, Virginia is seeking a Full-time assistant to support infants and toddlers in a structured classroom environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, proactive, and willing to engage respectfully with children.

Responsibilities include establishing behavior rules, assisting in development, and performing childcare-related chores. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.

SMS is currently hiring for a Full-time assistant to work with Infants/Toddlers!

• Monday-Friday
• 40 hours per week (8:30-5:30 w/ an hour lunch)
• Ability to be on your feet.
• Ability to lift and move.
• Ability to conduct chores apart from childcare (cleaning, etc.)
• Willingness to engage with young children and other staff members.
• Willingness to go outdoors in all weather.

Requirements

• Ages 18 or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to be certified.
• Experience with children (preferred)
