Qualifications

• Graduation from high school, and
• Four years of journeylevel electrician experience and related electrical work
• Possession of State of Hawaiʻi Journey-level or Supervising Electrician's License at time of filing
• Possession of a valid State of Hawaiʻi driver's license (Class 3) at time of filing

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installations and equipment for code compliance.
• Review applications for electrical permits and verify fees.
• Issue correction notices, stop work orders and follow up on violations.
• Inspect solar water heaters and photovoltaic systems for code compliance.
• Maintain records and prepare inspection reports.
• Assist with investigations of electrical fires.
