Job summary

State of Hawai'i Department of Accounting & General Services seeks building construction inspectors for Downtown, offering a full-time role with a salary range of $6,090 to $6,704 per month. This is SR-19, Step C to I, with a Shortage Category Differential.

Qualifications

• TWO (2) YEARS of Journey level experience in the building construction trades.
• ONE (1) YEAR of either building construction inspection work or supervisory experience over a crew.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure construction materials used and check methods employed.
• Inspect the erection of false work and concrete forms; accept or reject forms, equipment and materials based on specs.
• Keep detailed records of work and materials; prepare routine inspection reports and monthly progress reports.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
