Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• FE exam required or equivalent.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge in standard electrical engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
• Basic computer skills include electrical analysis programs such as RISA, AutoCAD, BIM (Revit, Tekla).
• Strong attention to detail, collaboration and problem solving.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for multiple facilities.
• Design electrical components for project needs as directed by project managers.
• Apply basic electrical engineering concepts, codes and procedures.
• Support data research and project documentation.
• Update drawings and verify corrections in CAD software.
• Assist client presentations, shop drawing review and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for clients.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned.
• Comply with policies and standards.
