Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking an assistant teacher dedicated to nurturing young minds and engaging with our community. You will help implement dynamic curricula, support fun, child-centered activities, and partner with families to promote development in a caring environment.

Qualifications include a High School degree or equivalent and at least 2 years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT, and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
