Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Full Time | New London Specialty Care

Are you a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) leader looking to grow your career in a team-focused environment? New London Specialty Care, a 46-bed licensed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our dedicated leadership team.

Position Details

  • Location: New London Specialty Care, New London, IA
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • On-Call Rotation: Required
  • Start Date: Full-time position beginning in August

What You’ll Do As ADON

  • Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations and staff coordination.
  • Conduct regular rounds to ensure high-quality care and address any care concerns.
  • Encourage a culture of learning, growth, and team collaboration.
  • Assist in administrative duties to improve efficiency and support department goals.
  • Participate in the leadership on-call rotation to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Iowa (or ability to obtain).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Prior leadership experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, grow, and adapt.
  • Passion for resident-centered care and a team-first mindset.
