Key Qualifications:

• Must have a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care setting.
• Must have 6 months of training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.

Responsibilities:

• The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Under the guidance of the Administrator and Regional Director of Clinical Operations, the DON will work with clinical staff to ensure the highest quality of care.
