Job summary

Toll Brothers seeks an Assistant Division Controller to manage accounting and accounts payable for a division, partnering with leadership to meet business objectives. This role emphasizes month-end close, internal controls, and process improvements within a fast-paced luxury homebuilder environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related financial tools.
• Experience with JD Edwards/E1 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close activities including allocations, profit recognition, general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses.
• Analyze accounting transactions for accuracy, investigate discrepancies and take corrective action.
• Review & prepare schedules and support for monthly, quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Maintain and enhance SOX controls and documentation; provide recommendations as appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to design and implement process efficiencies; develop processes to drive productivity.
• Provide technical support on accounting issues, interpretation of new standards, and US GAAP compliance.
• Support the Controller in special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analyses.
• Partner with operational leadership to support all operational disciplines.
