Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of management level experience leading, developing, and motivating employees.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including budgets, operating metrics and/or P&L management.
  • Experience in transportation, heavy equipment, or similar operational environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA guidelines.
  • Willingness to relocate for promotional opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a safety-first culture for employees, customers, and vendors through regular safety meetings and compliant operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable site performance.
  • Identify and implement continuous operational improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee equipment inspections, maintenance, and preventive programs to maximize utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Lead personnel activities including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Establish and maintain performance targets, objectives, and standards across site activities.
  • Monitor operating metrics and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and ROI.
  • Participate in monthly forecasts and annual budgets, and ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute to P&L and capital planning with District leadership.
  • Collaborate with Controller and Divisional VP on financial performance and planning.
  • Develop short- and long-term goals and action plans with Divisional VP.
  • Implement programs to optimize equipment utilization, labor, and material costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (DOT, OSHA, EPA).
  • Prepare and complete required reports on time.
  • Provide training and presentations in a positive, professional manner.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites and other company locations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Foster a safety-first culture for employees, customers, and vendors by conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring safe, compliant operations.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and profitably.
  • Identify and implement continuous operational improvements to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee equipment inspections, cleanliness, maintenance, and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Lead personnel activities including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Establish and maintain performance targets, objectives, and operating standards across site activities.
  • Monitor operating metrics and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, processes, and return on investment.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets and maintain accountability for their accuracy.
  • Participate in P&L and capital planning responsibilities for the district, including monthly P&L reviews to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Partner closely with the Controller and Divisional Vice President on financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term goals and action plans in partnership with the Divisional Vice President.
  • Develop and implement programs to optimize equipment utilization, maintenance, labor, and material costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable DOT, DOL, OSHA, EPA, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and complete required reports accurately and on time.
  • Provide training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites and other company operating locations.
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of management level experience, with a demonstrated ability and desire to lead, develop, and motivate employees.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including experience with budgets, operating metrics, and/or P&L management.
  • Previous experience in a transportation, heavy equipment, or similar operational environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
