Responsibilities

Reviews reports to determine if further investigation is needed; approves or returns cases for more work; researches case law.
Drafts accusations and indictments; evaluates defenses; negotiates pleas; dismisses non-prosecutable cases.
Develops trial strategy; presents to grand jury; questions witnesses; handles sentencing recommendations; attends pre-trial conferences.
Subpoenas witnesses; researches and argues motions; ensures discovery compliance by copying/mailing documents.
