Job summary

The Enid office of the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council seeks a prosecutor to handle a variety of legal duties promoting the effective prosecution of criminal felony and misdemeanor cases in Garfield County. Newly admitted attorneys will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in Oklahoma.
  • Excellent oral advocacy, legal analysis and legal writing/editing skills.

Position Summary

Tommy Humphries is the District Attorney for DA District 4, which includes Blaine, Canadian, Garfield, Grant and Kingfisher Counties. Our mission is to protect the public by aggressively prosecuting violent crime, advocating for and supporting crime victims, and directing appropriate offenders toward treatment and rehabilitation. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics, efficiency, and professionalism to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the communities we serve. Our Enid office seeks a prosecutor who will be responsible for a variety of legal duties which promote the effective prosecution of criminal felony and misdemeanor cases in Garfield County. Newly admitted attorneys will be considered. Caseload assignments and responsibilities will depend upon successful applicant’s skills, interests, and experience.

Requirements
  • Secure and maintain a favorable background investigation.
  • Graduation from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in Oklahoma.
  • Possess excellent oral advocacy, legal analysis and legal writing and editing skills.
  • Display strong organizational, interpersonal communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
